Christmas in um, June

Wednesday is Rednesday at It's A Very Cherry World.
Please join Sue for more Rednesday fun!

This week I'm sharing some Christmas stuff of my mom's. I do so apologize, I know what a shock to the system it must be to hear mere mention of Christmas in June!  Please forgive me.

I found spools of thread and other sewing notions in this darling box - as much as I love vintage sewing stuff, it's the box I adore.

My mom made this funny stuffed Christmas tree years and years ago and never quite finished it. I found the "strawberries" (not quite sure why there are strawberries on the tree???) pinned to the edges of the tree.

My favorite thing is this wall hanging my mom embroidered using iron-on patterns.

And lastly, at the bottom of the following photo, you will see some of the holiday window stencils that we had when I was a child. Gave me the giggles to find them.

  3. Well, I think you are just on the ball. I read on another friends blog that Christmas is 6 months away. Can you believe that? It will be here before we know it. I love vintage Christmas. Your items will have special meaning coming from your mom. Hey, if it makes you feel any better I got to be a real picker last weekend at the Star Mill. One item I picked is a vintage santa, sleigh, and reindeer. Have to grab them when you find them. Happy Rednesday!

  5. I don't care what month it is, I always enjoying seeing Christmas stuff! Those stencils really bring back great memories. The designs were so charming! I just wish the newer stencil spray washed off the windows as easily as the old did!
    Happy REDnesday,
    Carol

  9. DEar Sally, Your Mom must be where you got some of your creativity. The wall hanging is wonderful. I had a tree like that when I was younger-not sure about the strawberries. And I agree on the red box-I love it. Hope you're having a good week.
    Hugs, Leslie
