  1. Hi Sally! I finally got my box of St. Pat decorations down from the attic. Just in time! :) Now all I have to do is take them out of the box. I have a little Leprechaun house that I have to plug in. :) Hope you are having a fabulous Thursday, my friend! xox Pam

  2. Sally, well I have been off the grid for a while because my precious little computer has been having fits of some sort and stalls out when I go to comment sections. But I say here! here! to words on public schools and am charmed by your St. Paddy's day decor (a holiday I have never "done up" at all yet love the green). For a moment I thought the mint truffle goodies were of your making but AHA yes, I do like Bakerella too and last year made her cake pop chicks for Easter....a hit with the kids. Have a great! weekend and I kinda expect a recap of the Oscars lady...maybe I will try my hand at one too.

  3. Hi Pam,
    TGIF!
You get a gold star for heroic recovery of the decor!!! :) A leprechaun house?! Can't wait to see that! Does it have a resident leprechaun? Bet you could make the cutest one!
    Happy happy weekend to you!

  4. Hi Jenny!
I was going to post a comment at your blog today - I was beginning to worry about you. Sorry your computer is acting up - um, hanging head with shame, I spilled something on my keyboard once and couldn't play for a few days until we got the new one and I nearly went into withdrawals. Hoping your computer gets well lickety split!
You're so sweet but none of those are my creations - wouldn't that be wonderful to be that talented and that on top of things?! I just like to share the cute ideas I stumble across with everyone.
We'll be glued to the TV on Oscar night! I'll look forward to comparing notes afterwards.
    Happy weekend to you!

  5. Hi Sally,
I am drooling over the Going Green Popcorn recipe and photo! Looks and sounds so yummy. My Mom makes green cupcakes every year for St. Patrick's Day (along with potatoes + cabbage stew) and I am looking forward to going over to her house for them them already!

  6. Hi Stephanie!
    Isn't the green popcorn fun?!
That's so great that your mom enjoys the holiday so much! (I can remember my mom making chocolate cupcakes with green frosting when I was growing up - thank you for the sweet memory.)
I'm a vegetarian now, but when I used to eat meat, I used to love to make corned beef and cabbage! And I loved making hash the day after.
Happy weekend and Happy St. Pat's Day to you!

  7. Those cake balls are great! I love coming here to to see your festive posts! I must say I don't have any St Patty's Day decorations but this year I do plan to make corned beef and cabbage and something vegetarian for Beanie. Any ideas for a meat-free St Patty's day recipe?

  8. Hi Lori! Aren't the cake balls fun?! So cute!
Re something veggie for Beanie - I only tried one year to do a "vegetarian" take on corned beef and cabbage and wasn't too thrilled with the result (so bland compared to corned beef). I'm sure it would have been much better had I known what spices to add to liven it up! So I don't have any thoughts off the top of my head. I am on the lookout for something myself and I'll be sure and let you know if I find something that sounds tasty. :)
Oh! I just had a thought! You could make her a vegetarian Bubble and Squeak - I think it's mashed potatoes and cabbage??? And make Soda Bread if you have the time.
Here's a link to some yummy Bubble and Squeak Cakes at Vegan Yum Yum -

  11. Well, it turns out Beanie isn't a cabbage fan but she DOES want soda bread... Thanks for the links you left on my blog!!!

  12. Hi Becky!
Sorry, I must have missed the day that you posted your comment. YES! Doesn't everything look fun and yummy?!
Wishing you lots of green fun and a Happy St. Patrick's Day!

  13. Hi Lori!
I'm so sorry, somehow I missed yours and Becky's comments. Oh no ... sorry Beanie doesn't like cabbage, hope you've found something fun for your St. Patrick's Day bash together - I saw a recipe somewhere for twice baked potatoes and the filling was green - does she like potatoes? Happy holiday to you!
