So very sad ...

I left to do some errands this morning and came home to find a note saying my dear neighbor of nearly thirty years (October would have been thirty years) passed away last night.

SOB. I'm just one big crying puddle over here. Such a shock to the system - we had been told that he would be okay for a while yet, that he would have many good days still. He was active (a human dynamo into his nineties!) until his diagnosis a few weeks back. Thankfully we had seen Fred a few times during his hospital stay and we let him know how dear he was to us. We had plans to talk about tomato plants, etc. when he came home.

Oh dear.

I'm going to go curl up with a box kleenex for the rest of today ... thanks for listening ...

  1. i am so sorry. What a blessing to him that he was able to do so much for so long. Losses are very difficult but even more so when the loved one may have lingered in body but not mind. A thirty year neighbor is a long bond indeed. Thanks for letting us know.

  2. I'll send some positive vibes to you, and your neighborhood. Take care. ♥

  3. Oh, Sally, I am so sorry. Thirty years...well, that's family, isn't it? Take care of yourself. Lots of love - Pam

  4. Hi Sally - just stopping by to give you a hug. xo!

  5. Oh Sally, I am so sorry to hear this news. Losing such a longtime neighbor and friend must be so hard! Big hugs to you.

  6. Sally,
So sorry for your bad news.Take care.

  7. Thank you so much everyone, for your kindness and care and friendship!

You're all very dear to me,

    Sally xoxoxo
