Happy Rednesday!
If you read my Monday post below, you know that I've been immersed in memories and creating a graduation gift for my youngest niece. Well, during my hunt for photos for her project, I came across the scans of a booklet I made for her sisters 18th birthday in 2004. This is probably a big stretch but, hurray hurrah, the booklet has some RED, so it's my contribution for this Rednesday.
Perhaps you've gleaned from previous entries that I'm a bit "intense" teehee and very sentimental?! I'm also a lover of words - hence the quotes and poetry that keep popping up everywhere.
Look to this Day! For it is Life, the very Life of Life.
In its brief course lie all the Varieties And Realities of your Existence;
the Bliss of Growth,
the Glory of Action,
the Splendor of Beauty;
for yesterday is but a dream,
and tomorrow is only a vision;
but Today well lived
makes every Yesterday a Dream of Happiness,
and every Tomorrow a Vision of Hope.
Look well therefore to this Day!

I included photos of her father (my brother) and her grandmother (my mother),
both holding her and wrote text that I knew they would say to her. (My brother
and mother had passed away nine months apart and I really feel a responsibility
to let my nieces how much they loved them and fill in the blanks for them about
who they were.)

This is my favorite - I think the universe intervened here - I had photos from when
she was little and I wrote captions kind of in the "words of wisdom" vein to go with
them. Don't know how well you can make them out???

Wow...very creative. I'm sure they will treasure all of your hardwork for years to come. Much better than something "Store Bought"
