Vintage Mag Rednesday

(Visit It's a Cherry World for info on Rednesday)

A vintage McCall's home decor magazine that was my mom's. The bums didn't include a publication date so I'm not sure what year it's from??? 70's or 80's? I'm sharing some of the pages that included red with you today. Happy Rednesday!

The text on this one above says "everything but the zingy print is red, red, RED". Um, yup. Yes sirree.

  2. Hi Mary!
I like the red and white gingham one too. whisper whisper I don't really care for the others, too intense for me. Fun to look back though. :)

    Happy Rednesday!

  3. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I got a great idea from the three red shelves by the gingham loveseat. We have a wall I didn't know what to do with and now I do. Have a great Rednesday!

  5. Hi Mary Ann!
You're very welcome. Oh, I'm so glad you saw something that inspired you, how fun! I love the way the shelves look over the sofa and the way they are staggered. Wishing you lots of decorating fun!

  6. Hi nannykim!
    So glad you enjoyed it!
It's so odd that there's no date - I keep looking through it, thinking it must be there somewhere - but still no date. It's an odd magazine - it has a table of contents (no date there) but it doesn't have the usual page with all the publishing info and credits.
Yes, absolutely I will let you know if I post more of the photos down the road.
    Happy Rednesday,
    Sally

  9. Bonjour Leslie,

Its so much fun to look at old mags especially the decorating one. Its funny how tastes change overtime. I wonder what people will think of our decor style of today in 30 years. Thanks for sharing. I'm a new follower!

  10. I really enjoyed looking at these rooms, because I appreciate all kinds of styles of decorating, and I like to look at all of the accessories in the background too! That yellow room is kind of interesting. Looks like a sun room, which I would love to have!
    Happy REDnesday!

  13. Sally, I adore your post today! What about that red gingham sofa? Do you see the carpet in front of it? Hello! My mother had the very carpet in our red, white and blue family room! Thank you so much for the memories. You know who Percy Faith is - the only one who picked up on that! I adore you! Thanks for making my day! e

  18. Hi Elizabeth!
Oh, how fun! Glad I could bring back some memories for you. :)
You're a sweetie! Yup, I'm just about as old as dirt and I sure do remember Percy Faith - Cast Your Fate To The Wind was a huge hit ... wasn't it, teehee??? My family used to watch all of the variety shows on TV so I'm guessing that's why I remember him. I sure remember hearing the song a lot.
    Happy Thursday to you!
