Pink Saturday

I've been having a lot of fun playing along this week with some of the ongoing topic events in blog land. I thought I'd continue with one of Saturday's topics and I chose Pink Saturday this time. Alas, I didn't know you had to sign up before hand. WAH! Note to self ... sign up on Fridays to participate in Pink Saturday.

There are so many lovely pink posts today. Participants are listed here at How Sweet the Sound. Enjoy!

"Pink and Blue Saturday" is probably more appropos, huh?! These are all limited edition collector's plates that I inherited from my mother.

  1. Stunning; I can only see a tiny dessert on these gorgeous plates! No, perhaps, just wall hangings...truly a work of art~!

  2. Oh Sally, Your plates are beautiful gathered together! Lucky you! I am so mad at myself that I didn't recall that you had wanted to participate in the tag swap and agreed to squeeze in other late comers! I am so sorry. My next swap is Halloween where each person will make a triangle piece decorated anyway at all but with one letter from "Trick or Treat" on each triangle. Each of us will end up with a banner to hang! If you want in on this one, since there will only be 12 (Had to count on my fingers) you are first on the list! You know my mind is that far down the road at all times, you don't have to let me know until October! Think about it! E

  3. It certainly looks like you've been taking great care of these pretty plates from your mother. Hand-me-downs of this sort is rare and precious...something definitely worth cherishing.

  4. Hi Ellie!
Aren't they pretty?! I don't think they're "food safe" though - probably just as well since I'm about the klutziest person on this earth - they wouldn't last long with me handling them. YIKES!
    Happy Monday!

  5. Hi Elizabeth!
Thank you! I thought of you when I unboxed the one with the little blue birds.
Please don't fret a bit! Everything is fine, actually you saved me from driving myself nuts (and my poor husband, who'd have to put up with me!). It would have been too much for me, coupled with my nieces gifts. So please don't think a thing about it.
The answer to your Halloween Swap is YES YES YES! :) I will post on your blog in case you don't read this here.
    Happy Monday!

  6. Hi Becky!
Sadly I don't have the room for all of her lovely things to be displayed but fortunately too because as I said above, I'm the biggest klutz and butterfingers. (Like mother like daughter, she and I both collected too many knick knacks!)
    Happy Monday!
