With profuse apologies to Judith Viorst. :)
ARGH!
We are going to have our living room painted. Next week. We thought we had picked out the perfect color. Thankfully we painted a test spot on the wall to make sure before all the new paint was purchased by the painter. The aforementioned dearly loved, perfect color, turns out not to be perfect in any way. In fact, it was an awful fit. Pale and pathetic looking. I have fallen out of love and sent it packing.
So ... we go off to the paint store again today and spend what seems like forever there, going round and round over the many choices of paint colors. How could we have been so mislead the last time??? We find five colors that we both like and feel sure that our new love will be one of them.
You can probably guess what's coming next ... misery in the Magundy Family.
After painting five more blobs of paint on our wall, the new colors are all too dark!!! I am losing my mind.
& it's not just the paint. Who knew that you needed to sell your house to be able to afford new window treatments?!! Good grief, when did shades get so expensive? They rival the national debt.
(edited to add: I forgot to mention the parking ticket we got outside of the drapery and blind store as well. Husband got to the car and put money in before the ticket was written and the parking enforcement officer said it didn't matter - that he had seen the meter blinking and that was all that mattered. I don't get it - what if my husband saw it switch at the same moment as the officer - then he was not tardy in putting in his money.)
What a stinky, smelly, putrid day this has been. sniffle sniffle SOB.
I think lots of chocolate is called for, don't you?
