Saturday Night by Pam Smallcomb

Thank you so much to everyone for your kind words and concern the past week! We're still waiting to hear the results from both my biopsies and our poochie pies. Both patients are doing well but waiting is so hard.

Regarding the burglars, our neighbor who witnessed the break-in told my husband that they had heard that the men were arrested. The police had told my husband that they would let us know but we haven't heard a peep from them. I keep looking at the LAPD crime maps every day but they haven't updated them since the day before the incident on our block. ARGH! I know it's silly but I just want to see it with my own eyes, in print, that they've been arrested - I'm so anxious and don't feel comfortable just hearing "so and so was told by so and so that such and such happened".

Thanks again so much for your words of comfort and holding my hand!

  2. Hi Sally,
Hope you get your Ikea wall unit going right. It's so hard to decide how you want things! Congrats on your givaway! Hopefully things will settle down now. I can't believe you can't find out if those guys were arrested or not. And yes it was 110 degrees here today. We are roasting. Can't wait till fall is here! Happy Monday!

  3. Hi Sally, I miss so much if I miss a single day here! Your painting makes me smile. The Day of the Dead couldn't be cuter? I just love it! Sigh! The story about the cookie jar is just wonderful. What a dream come true to have that mold. It must have been quite a big deal to have someone make you a personal jar in those days, very special. Your dance card post was just too sweet. It does make you wonder if she was shy or too busy dancing to remember to fill in her dances! Always such fun to visit here! Elizabeth

  4. Hi Maria!
So fun to see you! Thank you so much for visiting and for your good wishes. Jingle jangled is right, oh boy howdy! ARGH!
Let me know if you've seen any good flicks lately - we've been stuck at home for weeks pretty much, doing painting and general fluffing up and have missed the latest cycle.
    Happy week to you,
    Sally

  5. Hi Leslie!
Thanks so much for commiserating with over my stinkin, er, lovely new wall unit. ;) Who would have guessed that it would be such a pain in the patootie?! Ay yi yi.
The LAPD finally updated their crime maps - turns out they only do it once a week, so that solves one mystery. And well, they list burglaries four blocks from me on the same date and time but not on my street. What the???! We had been told that they had hit other houses - so I guess that's the reason for the other street being listed. But what about us?! GEEZ. Perhaps they didn't take anything next door but they did at the other location?
Packaging up some cool air for you and sending it off! :)
