TasteSpotting Thursday for the 4th

Happy Thursday to everyone!

Summer fun continues ... we saw "Knight and Day" at the theater today and went out to lunch at our favorite Indian restaurant. Yum!

Are you all ready for the 4th of July? We don't have any special plans yet but I thought I had better get started thinking about food.

I was looking on TasteSpotting for something fun to try ... I could look at all those yummy photos of food for days, er, well, forever! They make me happy. And hungry. Here's a few that caught my eye ...

We're vegetarian so the following burgers would be replaced with veggie burgers.

Burger with BBQ sauce, blue cheese and grilled red onions from Can You Stay For Dinner

Bruschetta Burgers from Miss Kitchen

Hot Dogs with Carmelized Barbecue Sauce and Bacon (tofu dogs and faux bacon for us) from Cooking Stuff

Grilled Avocados from Circle B Kitchen

Roasted New Potato Salad with Green Chilies from Use Real Butter

Barbecue Bean Salad from Kitchen Simplicity

Nectarine Salad with Cilantro, Scallions and Feta from Week of Menus

Jalapeno Potato Salad from Bunny's Warm Oven

Peach and Barbecued Corn Salad from Taste Buddies

4th of July Cream filled Strawberries from Bakers Royale

Banana Boats from Lick My Spoon

  1. WOW! What a group of delicious treats. Hmmm...I was thinking burgers, chips and watermelon. LOL!! And if I even pull that off it will be a miracle. :) I might make some veggie burgers, too. I like them as much as the meat ones. Have a happy 4th, Sally! Are you going to go see some fireworks? xox! Pam

  4. Hi Pam!
Do not fret, I'll be lucky to pull off veggie burgers too! (Especially since I haven't planned anything yet. What a noodle I am.)
We haven't been to see the fireworks in ages - I don't know where they are anymore??? Do you remember when they changed the day/time on the Santa Monica Pier ones because there had been violence for several years? So sad. Do you have some by you?
    Happy happy 4th to you!
