We went Downtown yesterday to the amazing Million Dollar Theater to see the classic and much beloved by us, "It's A Wonderful Life" for a much needed jump start to some holiday spirit. The Million Dollar theater was built in 1918 and had long since seen it's glory days. Thankfully the wonderful Los Angeles Conservancy is restoring it and it is already quite something grand to behold.
Hi Lori! We love It's A Wonderful Life. It's also my husbands favorite movie so it seemed like such a fun idea to see it on the big screen. I sure wish we had caught Wizard of Oz when it played in the theater earlier this year. I'm so very sorry for your families loss! (My mommy's at Forest Lawn, in Burbank, or maybe they call that the Hollywood Hills, by Griffith Park.) Burbank is anywhere from a half hour to an hour away from us, so you were pretty close by. Yes, it's been cold for us - kind of welcomed after the continual heat, but then it went and rained yesterday (poured), while I was running my errands (and couldn't find my raincoat and got soaked). GRRRRRRRR
We're seeing this on Friday! It always gets me in the holiday mood, such a classic...
ReplyDeleteAnd I was just in LA over the weekend (Burbank area) unfortunately for a funeral but I thought of you! It was cold tho, what's up with that? :)
