vintage pattern rednesday

It's slim to none in the red department over here but I wanted to join in on the Rednesday fun so I dug around and dug some more on the quest for red.  I finally found this darling pattern from 1939 I picked up several years ago to share with you. It's just got a smidge of red but it also has blue birds and a bird house, so it's all good, huh?!

Please join in the Rednesday fun with Melody at Brown Gingham Creations. Let's keep this linky party that we've all enjoyed so much, going!

  1. Happy REDnesday, Sally...oh, I've been REDmiss in joining in the fun lately because, like you, I've been lacking reds to share. But I always try to come by and say hello to Melody and visit some of the participants.

I like your pattern. Old patterns give me a sense of nostalgic warmth, and oh my, bluebirds have been coming across my path so much lately. I think that is a good sign.

    Have a glorious day,
    Marianne

    1. Hi Marianne!
Thanks so much for visiting and commenting! You're too cute with your REDmiss - you and I have both been REDmiss :) But you've been less so than I have, at least you've been visiting and encouraging. I will try to follow your lead.
      Happy weekend!

    1. Hi Twyla! So nice to see you! :) Isn't it darling, I just love it. The clothes are adorable and the faces are so precious. Did you guys get the golf ball sized hail where you are? I saw it on the news, gosh it was HUGE!
      Happy weekend!

  5. What a sweet vintage pattern! I seem not to have any red in my post either. I'll have to make sure I do for next week.

    1. Hi Pam! Isn't it darling?! I had forgotten I even had it - its fun when you open a box you haven't in a long while and find something that makes you smile (instead of kicking yourself in the rumpus for buying it LOL)!
      Happy weekend!

  6. Finding red is NOT one of my problems...I have too much, I love the color. I do enjoy Easter with its pastels...but I crave red before the season is over. Then it's on to red, white, and blue summer!

    1. Hi Shirley! I have red Xmas and red valentines but not really much else, so I really have to think hard for Rednesday. I'm sure I've shared everything I have - maybe I can slip some repeats in and no one will notice - hahahhaha.
      Happy weekend!
