Monday blog love

and eerie evidence of a night spent spookily ...

Guess what I was doing at five o'clock yesterday?! Making these paper candle wrappers/luminaries! ARGH! What a cuckoo head I am! Anyway, FYI for next year, you can find these darling printables here, at Not Just Decorating. Our Halloween table needed some ooomph and these really did the trick. Printer cranking them out, scissors flying, stuck onto former honey jars with scotch tape, felt circles cut to protect the table and VOILA!

Besides getting ready for all the goblins and ghosties, we also went to the Long Beach Outdoor Antique Market yesterday morning and one of the things I found was this book, The Tale of Old Mr. Crow. It's pretty beat up but it's from 1917 - won't it be fun to add to our Halloweenie next year?!

(pom pom crow ornament found at Zinnia last weekend)

Hope everyone had a fun Halloween!

  1. We had a great Halloween, and I am having a See's hangover - haha! Now we need to start thinking about Thanksgiving decorations! :) xoxo! Pam

  2. I'm glad you were able to use the luminary printables. Thanks for stopping by and letting me know. I'm honored that you put them on your blog. Have a wonderful day!

  3. The Luminaries are great! you, wanna talk about late...we bought the girls pumpkins last night and finally carved them last night...ah, well, THEY enjoyed it and that was the point...anyway...who would see them out here in the sticks.

  4. Hi Pam!
I'm such a knucklehead - I didn't save any See's for myself so I only have a butterfinger hangover - not quite the same thing at all bwahhahhahaha! So glad you're enjoying your candy. :)
ACK! I can't believe I have to start thinking about Thanksgiving, like yesterday, if I had any sense!
    Happy Tuesday,
    Sally xoxoxo

  5. Hi Katie!
You're very welcome! I just love your luminaries - I really wanted the PBK ones and these are a great and charming and clever alternative.
    Happy week to you,

  6. JENNY!
I came over and saw you a couple of days ago to say Hello - I was on my iPad and the comment section wouldn't work for me dagnabbit. So good to see you! Glad your girlies had fun carving their pumpkins - I always manage to forget how hard it is to carve a pumpkin, it really requires some muscle. Hope you enjoyed your girls weekend away!
    Happy week to you!
