secret leprechaun mission completed

I've had so much fun participating in Viv's Secret Leprechaun Swap!

Viv gave me Lynn, of Life on the Wienee Ranch, as my secret leprechaun package recipient. Lynn's package has been delivered now per the good old USPS, so now I can blab and spill the beans and do a show and tell. Yippie!

I love making things for people, making life special and celebrating the days of our lives. And I'm a dog person, so I fell in love with Lynn's blog title and finding out she has five dachshunds!  You can see from the photo above, what happened next - a St. Patty's dachshund!

There are so many great resources online for crafts. I found the the leprechaun footprints and leprechaun polaroid here ... I used them on the envelope for my card to Lynn.

I love sweetness, silliness and whimsy so I typed on the top of the envelope:

blarneyville bulletin::
breaking news::

and on the bottom I typed:

Leprechaun sighting:: wanted for gold theft @ 317 Rainbows End
Known member of Viv's Secret Society::Trained in stealth swapping

I foo foo'd the inside of the card too with leprechaun related stufferoonie ...

There must be leprechaun gold at the end of the rainbow ...

And a wiener dog of course ...

and a springtime heart to match ...

and some St. Patty things for crafty fun ... shamrock shaped cards, yellow doilies, a shamrock stamp, shamrock stickers

and that's the whole shebang! Hope you enjoyed everything Lynn!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

  4. Hi Sally,
    Life as taken on us an unexpected and difficult journey this past week and a half! We had to leave town for a few days and I was just an emotional mess along with a physical mess when I returned home. I am so in love with the sweetness you included in my package! It truly brighten the day. Sadly, we are down to 3 dachshunds of our own now! Our two oldest ones have passed away in the passed 3 years but I can't bear to take the sweet picture down off of my blog of all 5 of them in the bath at the same time. We are blessed to share our lives with our two grand fur-babies who are also dachshunds so we do have 5 again not just that all belong to us. I hope you can forgive me for not being online to say Thank you sooner. We are dealing with an issue that we thought no one in our family would ever have to deal with and that is all I can say in that matter. Please just keep our family in your prayers. Life is changing for us but we will be ok, we are a family, we have each other, we love each other, and we will be stronger because of this! Thank you again for everything. The sweet dachshund pillow is just adorable!
    Hugs,
    Lynn and the wienee ranch gang!
    ps, we had several warm days of highs in the low 70s! The chocolate didn't fare to well but still tasted great!
    Hugs,
    Lynn

    1. Hi Lynn! Oh gosh, I was so thrilled to see your name in my inbox (I did receive both of your comments - sorry to have to have comment moderation!) I thought something must be amiss when I did not have heard from you - I'm so very sorry to hear that it indeed is. Life is so challenging! I'm glad your package brought a small smile during this difficult time for you - and that the chocolate melted BOO! I worried about your package sitting in rain and snow but not heat. Sorry!
      Thinking of you, sending lots of hugs your way!
      Sally
