  6. Sally, I can't wait to see your embroidery. I'm excited for you! It's so sad as we get older and our relatives start dying off. Don't you feel like your the last one left with no older people around? ANyway, I'll give my Auntie a hug from you too!

  7. Truly you visit me just as I am trying to find you! I can't tell you how many different ways I typed your blog name to try and find you. I guess I should have used that neat vintage typewriter of yours! This is such a cute post. I recall how very serious I felt about membership cards. Always a sweet memory here! Elizabeth

  11. How fun! Those were pretty smart advertising techniques when you think about it. I always loved the part in the movie The Christmas Story when he gets his secret decoder ring and it's a commercial for Ovaltine, lol!

  13. Hi Sally!
    Thank you for stopping by my blog and commenting. It's always nice to hearing from you, my sweet friend!
    I wanted to respond to your questions about my embroidered bunnies. I got the pattern at a local quilt shop, but, it's from "Bunny Hill Designs". They are on the internet and you can tune in to see what patterns they have at the moment. They have the sweetest images to embroider and quilt. I have a number of their patterns for other pretties, too.
    The thread that I used was given to me by my cousin. She had an antique shop for several years and the vintage thread I photographed is very old. The pattern calls for DMC floss and, I think it's the best for color selection and quality.
    I hope you have good luck finding just what you want at Bunny Hill Designs.
    Thanks, again, for popping by!
    Blessings and hugs,
    Carolynn xo

  14. It's me again, Sally....By the way, I just thought of "Turkey Feathers" (an adorable blog with wonderful embroidery patterns...some are free) and "My Vintage Mending" (Renee gives sweet patterns on her blog away quite often...and they're free). If you go through her archives you will find several free patterns and her blog is filled with cute ideas for ways to use your embroidery in projects.)
    I hope this gets you inspired, my sweet friend!
    Hugzzzz,

    Thanks for not sharing my email address...Who know whose lurking out. >;}
