Christmas Customs for Rednesday

(please visit Sue at It's A Very Cherry World for more Rednesday fun!)

We went to the really fun Renegade Craft Fair Holiday Sale in Downtown Los Angeles on Sunday morning. I found a couple vintage Christmas booklets and a children's magazine, I thought I'd share the two booklets today for Rednesday.

The first booklet I saw was this one, Christmas Customs Around The World. It is a promotional giveaway from a Lincoln Mercury Car Dealership. Sadly there's no date anywhere on it - it looks like the 60's or 70's? I picked it up for the darling illustrations and seeing that it included Scandinavia (my mom's dad was Swedish), that sealed the deal. (Too funny though - now that I sit down and actually read it, it doesn't mention Sweden at all.)

The second booklet I found was this charming one of Christmas Carols and traditions, a giveaway from Richfield Gasoline Station Franchises (Richfield became Atlantic Richfield, became ARCO). Sadly again, no date printed.

  2. What great books! The Phone Number for the dealership is an alpha/numeric...are you sure that's not the late 50's early 60's? I thought by 63 all phone numbers were numeric only, but I could definately be wrong...LOL...I was only 3. Hwy can you e-mail me your e-mail address? I have something I wanted to send ya.
