I am suffocating under a mountain of Must-Do's over here and I am feeling overwhelmed and rebellious LOL. I have visited blogs, I have visited Facebook, I have Googled and I have pinned on Pinterest, all this morning!
Since you are all a crafty lot, my one last act of rebellion this morning will be to share this gem of antiquated thought with you, found on my internet travels on Cornflower.
TGIF! And always be prepared, hahhahahhahha
I'm loving this as I sit at my mom's vintage 1950 Singer, wearing last night's pjs, husband's old sweater and bed hair! Thanks for a good chuckle on this icy, bright day.
ReplyDeleteI read so many wonderful suggestions made to women in the 30's, 40's, 50's in various cook books and how to house keep books (such vintage treasures), magazine articles, pamphlets and more over the years. I love the one you shared from Singer today. Such a different way of seeing between then and now.
ReplyDeleteAnd heels...and stockings, don't forget to wear them too. I never sew without them!
ReplyDeleteGreat, funny read!!!
Robyn
Thanks for the chuckle. I'm sitting here in my pjs and robe, messy hair and no make-up. Horrors that someone might come to the door!
ReplyDeleteGreat share Sally. we forget how much things have changed.
Gotta love those Singers!!
ReplyDeleteMy grandmother had a pedal Singer. My Mom still has her first electric. And when I graduated from Jr. college - I got my Singer and it still works!!
