Yippie yippie! Quack quack! I get to go to French General tomorrow and learn needle felting from Evelyn Neily and how to make an adorable duckling, like hers shown above. Mine most likely will resemble a yellow furry blob LOL.
Happy crafty weekend to you!
How fun! Have a great time! And thanks for your feedback about my illustration!
ReplyDeleteHi Lori! I think it's going to be so much fun! I've always wanted to learn to needle felt. You're welcome for the feedback, I wish I were more artsy and in-the-know about things. Wishing you much good luck!
DeleteOhhhh how fun!!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see your duckling!!
Hi Suzan! Doesn't it sound fun?! Hopefully I'm not all thumbs and mine will resemble something other than glob of wool LOL!
DeleteOh you lucky ducky! Sounds like a great day. You must show us the results, even if it is a blob, lol - which we all know it won't be. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Pam! I'm really looking forward to it, although don't have high expectations for my results. You're right, it won't be a blob - it'll be a blob with feet sticking out of it and eyeballs hahahaha
DeleteHappy weekend!
That is the cutest duckling! I wanna go, too! Have fun for both of us. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Pam! I wish you were here and could go too, that would be so much fun! You need to come and visit!
DeleteHappy weekend!
Oh what a sweet duckling!!! Sounds like fun, can't wait to see your creation!!! :) I would like to learn how to do that too! Happy Saturday! xo Holly
ReplyDeleteHi Holly! It turned out to be much harder than I thought and very labor intensive. Hours of poking the wool with a deadly needle. I didn't get to finish it in class, hopefully I will down the toad.
DeleteHappy week to you!
um, down the road, I meant hahahahhaha
DeleteI'm so intrigued with learning how to needle felt. It sounds difficult but I'm still very curious. Viv always shares the neatest projects and makes it look so easy. You'll have to show us your own when you can finish it. Happy "almost" spring!
ReplyDeleteHi Kim! So nice to see you! I've admired needle felting for so long and been so intrigued too. I had only done a flat piece for Viv's 4th of July swap last year but never anything else. THIS WAS SO HARD. Yikes. Or I should say monotonous and then, hard. But the ladies who were artists and sculptors already, didn't have a hard time. There were only a couple of samples for five tables and 26 of us to share and I was so lost when I couldn't see the sample since I have no sense of proportion or what a duck looks like. I guess it won't be my new hobby boo hoo. Hoping I can find the courage to finish my ducky all on my own! shiver shiver shake ...
