I'm really enjoying participating in the Christmas critter ornament felt along co-hosted by Claudia of Mockingbird Hill Cottage and Dawn of Creative Cain Cabin. It's so much fun to see all the creativity of the participants and all the different ideas each had. I think it's fair to say that it's a tie which I enjoy more, stitching them or seeing what everyone else did.
The darling February critters were the cardinal and the sheep.
Please note that I
stitched these yesterday while having a headache and made boo boo's and blunders, ay yi yi -
I didn't even notice some of them until I had completed both ornaments.
A word of warning ... it's probably not a good idea to make christmas critters when your noggin hurts. LOL.

I hope you'll join in the felt along, it's so much fun!

Your February critters are so cute, love the extra stitching on the sheep.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda! Thanks so much for visiting and commenting! I wanted to give all that light area more texture but wasn't sure what to do?! When in doubt - lazy daisies. :)

I love your little critters. The lazy daisy stitch on the lamb is so pretty.

Hi Balisha! Thanks so much for visiting and commenting and your good wishes for my headache! :) So glad you like the lazy daisies - as I said above, I was at a loss about what to do and remembered them from long ago.
DeleteHappy crafting!
What blunders Sally? They look great and are adorable. Kudos for creating with a headache. Hope you're doing better.
ReplyDeleteHi Pam! Thank you so much. I like them now but I wanted to throttle myself initially LOL. I kept having to pull things out and begin again ... over and over ...

Happy Wednesday!
They are perfect, I love the extra detail you gave the sheep with the stitching. I see no flaws at all.
ReplyDeleteHi Dawn! That's so sweet of you, thank you so much! It was a long and winding road, I had to redo so many things, ARGH - but I like them lots in the end.
DeleteHappy Wednesday!
Sally, you are too picky! These are simply wonderful and the stitches on the lamb's coat are beautiful! Love love.

Claudia
Hi Claudia! You're a big sweetie, thank you very much! Yup, I am picky and I can never do anything "good enough" - loud critic always talking in my ear. Argh. I just meant that I was all thumbs and cut the wrong fabric or stitched the wrong thing on at the wrong time and had to undo and do again, several times ACK.
DeleteHappy Wednesday! xo
Gorgeous little critters. I love the embroidery on the sheep. Hope your head is better today.

DeleteHappy Thursday!
I adore your sheep with the extra stitching! He looks perfect for a baby present add on (which is all I kept thinking as I stitched mine). Wonderful job, pah on blunders (which I couldn't even find).
ReplyDeleteHi emaleythe! (Is that Ema Leythe?)
