Home Arts Needlecraft

I'm joining the following meme's this week.

(Please visit Sue at It's A Very Cherry World for more Rednesday fun!)

(Please visit Suzanne at Colorado Lady for more Vintage Thingie Thursday fun!)

We went to the Long Beach Outdoor Antique and Collectible Market Sunday morning. I had a list of several things I needed for a project I'm making, plus there are a few vendors that I always enjoy that I looked forward to seeing.

Why is it when you're looking for something, you can't ever find it?! I couldn't find any of the things I had come for (and which are generally readily available every month WAH!) this time.

When I was ready to throw in the towel (after tromping around for three hours!), I found some treasure ... six issues of Home Arts Needlecraft. WAHOO! Just looking at the covers makes me smile. I hope you enjoy them too! I will try to share some of the contents, down the road.

Happy Rednesday and Vintage Thingie Thursday!

Something seems to be funky with Blogger right now, it won't load my other photos so I'll try to post the rest later on.

ETA: Sorry - I keep trying to upload my other photos and it just sits there, loading and loading, spinning and spinning - I'll keep trying or I'll try resizing them tomorrow morning.

ETA 1/19/11: Blogger still isn't cooperating for me WAH! It doesn't even connect ... it keeps saying it's waiting, it doesn't even time out, just keeps spinning and spinning. ARGH! So sorry, these are so very darling and I know you'd love them.

ahem ... Okie dokie now - tried again, making them smaller and smaller resolution - geez, just don't understand why blogger accepted the first three and not the rest???! Oh well ... here's the smaller resolution ones at long last ...

  7. That happens to me all the time at the flea market, deciding I want something after I've seen it every Sunday for a month, and when I go to get it, it's not there anymore! I don't know if the insides are any good, but the covers of those magazines are priceless!
    Happy REDnesday!

  9. Hi Sally,
Oh, the magazines are priceless!!! Happy Rednesday!!! And I entered you into the drawing, so no problem with the "Follower" thing...I just put that in because it's easier to find people if they're followers. But, I know how to find you! lol
    Have a beautiful day!

  10. Hi Sally,

Those are darling! Sorry about Blogger ... I was probably hogging all the bandwidth. Just teasing.

It looks like Parkdale is on the Oregon/Washington border, on the Columbia Gorge. It is about a 3 hour drive from Bend to Parkdale. If you ever get this way, let me know, we live 1/2 south of Bend.

    Happy Redensday!

  11. I never can find something if I'm looking for it either. But if I'm not looking for it, Katie bar the door, I'll stumble across it and need it! Don't know what's going on with Blogger. Acting pretty strange today.

  12. Hi Sally, Sometimes if blogger spins it means you are stroking your keys faster than it is processing. Wait just a few seconds between choosing your image and clicking on the next step, wait again before hitting publish. I have found this helps.
Thank you so much for sharing these wonderful covers!
Thank you also for your sweet comment on my tribute post. It has taken me three years to let go of that portion of the story. I'm ready to let go of the trauma as well! It's never too late!

I have only a few issues, packed away. I should take better care of them.

As for things you want that you did not find - the blessing is you get to go back and look again!
