favorite ornaments

I am sharing some of my favorite ornaments this week for
A Favorite Thing Saturday.

Of course there must be dogs.

I found this darling little girl at a Teddy Bear Show
in San Diego many years ago.

Three charming Natalie Salitch angels.

Love these little girls found at a home craft show years ago.
The one in the foreground is carrying a dollie and her friend
has a stack of Christmas fabrics.

This is my tree top angel I made for my first tree,
in my very first house in 1978 or 1979.
It's the first counted cross stitch I ever did
and I was terrified.

These may be my absolute favorites. I bought them in 1976 or 1977.
I got them at this wonderful teeny tiny hole-in-the-wall shop in
Santa Monica that sold ornaments from all over the world. I wish I
could remember which country they're from???

Wishing everyone the very merriest of Christmases!

  4. Great ornaments! Love the dog! And your angel topper is fab-- quite challenging looking for a first project! Those last ornaments look awfully German to me.

  6. Hello Sally
What beautiful ornaments, I always love handmade little dolls and angels. The first cross stitched one is very sweet, I would have bought that too!
I just want to say I'm so sorry about losing your family member Honey - Christmas will be a little sad without her this year.

Thank you Sally for popping over to my blog and leaving your lovely comment.

    I'm now your latest follower.

Christmas Blessings to you and your family

  7. My fave is the tree top angel you cross stitched. I used to do that back then too-haven't done it in years. I'm sure your tree is lovely with all those cute ornies. Happy Christmas!
