we need a little christmas

Yes, we need a little Christmas,
right this very minute ...
~ Jerry Herman for "Mame"

whisper whisper - I haven't decorated a thing yet, these are cuties that live in my curio cabinets all year long - I wanted to join in this week with something merry and bright for the quickly approaching holidays (which the very thought of, makes my noggin spin!).

Please join in the Rednesday fun with Sue at It's A Very Cherry World.

  1. Aha! I'm going to steal your secret....keeping a few decorations year-round in my curio cabinet. Great way to stay ahead of the game!

    1. Hi Fran! You're a sweetie! Thank you so much for visiting and your sweet comment. That's probably the only way I can be "in the game" - having it out all year hahahha.

      Happy Rednesday!

  2. p.s.--sorry for your recent loss of Honey. As you know from my blog, Clyde just joined our family, but Rosie and Gracie were my gorgeous golden girls before him. We are ga-ga for goldens here also! :)

    1. Hi again! Thank you, that's so kind of you. We are beyond broken hearted, so devasted. We weren't thinking of adopting so soon but the rescue called us about a bonded couple, two senior citizens, that need a home together desparately - so we have two goofy goldens again. They were supposed to be laid back at 9 and 12 years old, but they are thrilled with attention and having found it, want it pretty much all day long. So cute.
I'm so sorry to hear of your loss of Rosie and Gracie, sending you lots of hugs.

  4. Love the carved Mary and Baby Jesus and the little wooden angles. And I'm not even particularly religious, lol.

  7. Such cuties you have. I like your dedication to Honey on the sidebar. I need to figure out how to do one for Max. The recipe books I'm making are from my Moms old recipe cards. Original plan was to do alot of scrapbooking-that didn't happen.I did a ton of copying and then just bought a premade recipe scrapbook. I'll show them when I'm finished. Have a great week , Sally!

  11. Sally you're too cute! That's o.k. if they reside there all year. It's nice to give them a little extra attention.

  12. Pretty pretty things I so enjoyed looking at. I love the poinsettia cup and saucer. I haven't done anything Christmassy yet either. After work I'll do some crazy Christmas shopping. Thanks for dropping by my nook.

  13. I do the same thing! I have two shelves in my oak hutch where bunnies and snowmen and a little skelly talk all year long. :) LOVE those dancing mice. Happy HO HO HO! xox

  14. Those dancing mice are so charming, and definitely worthy of enjoying year round! I started out all gung-ho to decorate, and now I've decided to slow it down a little. I always forget that the more I put out, the longer it takes to put it all away!
    Happy REDnesday,
    Carol
