Yum!
So far, we're having no summer this year. We went out to breakfast this morning to 3 Square (in Venice, if you're in So. Cal.) and it was cold and so gloomy and even drizzling out. My curly head of hair grows exponentially in the damp air. WAH! Anyway, enough about my silly head of hair ... we had the most yummy breakfast. We had "Crispy “poached” egg with creamed spinach, sautéed spinach and tomato confit" ... so good!!! I ordered first and then hubby said "I'll have one of those too"! I don't know how on earth they deep fry the breadcrumbed poached egg??? But it sure is heavenly.
And then we toodled off to the Santa Monica Farmer's Market, always so much fun! We always buy too much and can never eat it all - everything looks so wonderful, it's hard to resist.
We tried really hard not to overdo it this time and we picked up baby spinach, sunflower sprouts, kumquats, regular strawberries & wild strawberries, heirloom tomatoes, apricots and the most divine green olive bread for sandwiches (with the heirloom tomatoes and sunflower sprouts).
Yum yum yum!
Wishing you a delicious Wednesday too!
